FAQ
Q: What is this product used for?
A: This is a professional-grade powder lightener — a bleach — used to lift natural or color-treated hair up to 8 levels, enabling blondes, dramatic highlights, balayage, or any lightening services.
Q: What kind of results can stylists achieve with it?
A: Expect a clean, even lift up to 8 levels, enabling everything from soft, warm blondes to very light, cool blondes or platinum — ideal for high-lift blonding, balayage, foil work, or full-head lightening.
Q: What makes this lightener stand out (vs. basic bleach powders)?
A: It includes conditioning pro-vitamin B5 to help preserve hair quality even during aggressive lifting. The formula delivers high-performance lift while helping maintain elasticity, smoothness, and shine.
Q: On what hair types or conditions can it be used?
A: It’s versatile — suitable for fine, medium, or coarse hair; for natural or previously color-treated hair. It works for classic bleaching, highlights, balayage, or lightening over color.
Q: How do I mix and apply it for best results?
A: Mix with a compatible developer (all volumes of Redken Pro-Oxide Cream Developer — 10, 20, 30 or 40 vol) using a ratio between 1:1 and 1:2 (powder:developer). A 1:1 ratio is ideal for free-hand techniques (balayage, painting), while 1:2 is suited for on-scalp or more saturated applications. Process at room temperature up to ~50 minutes — do not use heat or cover hair during processing.
Q: What precautions or best practices should stylists follow when using it?
A: Use non-metallic bowls and tools, wear gloves, avoid letting product run onto skin (for off-scalp work), and rinse thoroughly once desired lift is reached. Follow up with proper conditioning or bond-repair treatments to maintain hair integrity.
Q: What kinds of services is this lightener best suited for in a salon context?
A: It’s ideal for: full-head blonding, balayage, highlights, high-lift base for fantasy colors, or any service requiring significant lift — from dark bases to blond tones. Also useful when working with previously colored hair or when multiple levels of lift are needed quickly and effectively.
